Our request to the Majlis Perbandaran Taiping (Taiping Town Council) to look into the drainage and flooding during heavy downpour was answered. On 5th July, 2011, an assessment of the situation was carried out . Present were our members, En. Yahya (MPT), Dr. F L Fong (Town Councillor) and En. Anuar Isa (First Galleria).

On 25th July, 2011, MPT mobilised their team to clear the drains and rubbish. We have highlighted other related issues e.g. grease and food from surrounding restaurants, bottle neck hampering flow under the road, drain embankment giving way and level of drain compared to frontage of the premises. Dr. Fong will monitor the situation to ensure drains are not clogged and flooding will not occur. We appreciate their assistance in this matter.
